Ioannis Voyiatzis received the BSc degree in Informatics, the MSc degree in Electronic Automation and the Ph.D. degree in Computing from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is a Professor and head of the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, of the University of West Attica, Greece. He is also director of the Computing and Embedded Systems Technology, Internet of Things and Optimization (CESIO) lab. He has authored more than 120 articles published in international scientific journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include dependability and security of digital systems, machine learning and AI algorithms, accelerator design for AI, secure and blockchain systems, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones). He has participated in numerous projects funded by the European Union as well as the Greek government.
