Dr. Philippos Azariadis-Topaloglou is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering, School of Engineering, University of West Attica, where he has been working since June 1, 2022. From 2002 to May 2022, he worked as a contracted lecturer and as a member of the academic staff at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering at the University of the Aegean. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics (1994) and a PhD (1999) from the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Patras. In the period 2011-2012 and 2014, he worked as a Collaborating Faculty at the Hellenic Open University. From 2001 to 2010, he worked at ELKEDE - Center for Technology and Design AE in the positions of Research & Technology Coordinator and External Research & Technology Associate. His research interests focus on areas related to Mathematical Modeling for Product Design and Industry 4.0. His research work has found industrial applications in the footwear, clothing, and jewelry sectors, and has been published in significant scientific journals and conferences. He has participated, either as a researcher or as a coordinator, in a plethora of European and national R&D projects, and has served as a reviewer for 44 international scientific journals and over 140 international scientific conferences, as well as for several national/European research funding organizations. He has also been in the program committee member for more than 100 international scientific conferences, and is or has been a member of the editorial board for 7 international scientific journals.
